Manhasset Soccer 2nd and 3rd grade teams play in JSS

Manhasset Soccer recognizes that there are 2nd and 3rd grade soccer players that desire to play more soccer than our intramural program offers.  As such, we sponsor U-8 (2nd grade) and U-9 (3rd grade) teams that participate in the intramural program as well as play travel games in the JSS league.  JSS is specifically geared towards allowing players to participate in intramural programs and also experience travel soccer in the 2nd and 3rd grade.

JSS was founded in 2009 and is a sanctioned league under the jurisdiction of SAY Soccer, a member of the US Soccer Federation.  U8 & U9 programs give coaches the flexibility of scheduling games when time permits as well as having an expanded roster. The programs are currently available for Girls and Boys U8 and U9 teams. To ensure parity in each group, they offer the following levels of play: Major, Intermediate and Minor divisions.  More details regarding JSS can be found at www.justsaysoccer.com.

The U-8 and U-9 teams will play an 8 game schedule with 7 players on field plus a goalie (8 v 8).  The U-8 teams play on a 40 yards by 60 yards field.  U-9 plays on a 40 yards by 80 yards field.  Both ages groups use 7’ by 21’ goals.  The roster size is unlimited but they only allow 14 players at a game. 

Teams must register through Manhasset Soccer.
