QWhat are the rules of soccer?

QAre there any special rules for each age group?

A:  Look under the Intramural Programs tab on our website for our age specific rules.

QWhat ages can play in Manhasset Soccer?

A:  Children registered in Pre-K to 19 years old can play soccer on MSC teams. 

Q:  When and where do the kids play soccer?

A: Composite schedules for the above groups can be found on our website under the Intramural and Travel Program tabs.

Q: When will I be notified which team my child is on

A: Once all teams are formed, your coach will notify you. All players will be contacted a few days before the season begins.

QHow can I register my child?

A:  You can register your child online at our website www.manhassetsoccer.com.

Q:  What are the fees?

A:  The Registration Fee is $125 per child for our Intramural programand $200 for our Travel Program up until the registration cut-off date.

QWhat do the fees pay for?

A:  The Following is the Fee breakdown for both Intramural and Travel           
For Intramurals:  

  • Registration (Administration, labor, supplies, website hosting)
  • League player registration
  • Equipment (balls, cones, goals, nets, trophies)
  • Field Maintenance and referees
  • Insurance

QWhat size ball does my child need?

A:  See Below:

  • Size 3- U-4, thru U-8.
  • Size 4- U-9 thru U-12.

QWhat equipment is needed for practice and games?

A:  Shin Pads covered completely by socks with Soccer Cleats. Baseball cleats are not allowed (cleat in center of toe).

  • No jewelry of any kind.
  • Medical bracelets must be taped down.
  • A soccer ball (its more fun when everyone has one).
  • Water bottle.
     

QDoes Manhasset Soccer participate in Indoor Soccer?

A: The MSC does not belong or participate in an Indoor league. Yet parents can enter a group of children into a league. The club does offer Indoor training during the winter months for our travel teams.  
 

Q:  How many games are there in a season?

A: The schedule varies from season to season, yet the children will play 7 or 8 games per Season.
