ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

 Manhasset Soccer Club (“MSC”) adopts and incorporates the Zero Tolerance Policy (the “Policy”) enforced by Long Island Junior Soccer League (“LIJSL”) and Eastern New York Youth Soccer (“ENYYSA”).

The Policy applies to all coaches, team officials, adult personnel, parents, spectators, players, supporters, and anyone involved in MSC in any capacity. The Policy applies to all aspects of the game (pre- and post-game), and includes email, text messages, social media, and other electronic forms of communication between parties (public or private) and incidents on field or off the field (parking lots, practice fields, scrimmages etc.) for all MSC associated activities.

All players, coaches, and spectators are expected to demonstrate sportsmanlike behavior before, during and after games, scrimmages and practices. Abusive and obscene language, violent play/conduct, fighting and other behavior, including but not limited to, trash-talking, taunting, or baiting opponents, as well as discriminatory comments or slurs, will not be tolerated.

If such comments or actions are heard or seen, or actions of this nature are

reported, LIJSL will hear the claims, and report its decision to ENYYSA. A list of infractions and penalties will be compiled by ENYYSA and reported to other leagues. MSC may also take disciplinary action and levy penalties.

Penalties will include a minimum 3-game suspension and suggested education. Penalties for a repeat offender may include seasonal suspension, fines, and other action as deemed appropriate by the Board members of MSC.

All persons associated with the Manhasset Soccer Club are required to abide by these policies. By registering with MSC. all players and parents are deemed to accept these rules and procedures, and agree to act accordingly. As members of MSC, all players and parents agree to the following:

Player Contract

As a member of the Manhasset Soccer Club I pledge to:

• Come to all practices, training sessions and games prepared to play, ready to listen and equipped with a ball, shin guards, water and appropriate dress / uniform.

• Be respectful to all players on my team and other teams.

• Be respectful to all coaches and referees.

• Refrain from using abusive and/or taunting language while at practice, before, during and after a game.

• Refrain from using abusive, discriminatory, and/or taunting communication, including email, text messages, social media, and other electronic forms, in connection with any MSC event.

• Refrain from physical abuse of other players, coaches, referees, parents and spectators while at practice, before, during and after a game.

• Support the team and other teammates by following the game while on the sidelines.

• Abide by any other published team, club, or league rule.

• Take pride in the Jersey that you wear and demonstrate kindness, sportsmanship and leadership within the community.

As a member of the Manhasset Soccer Club, I understand and accept that MSC will enforce all sportsmanship rules, and will penalize anyone that violates the Zero Tolerance Policy.

Parent Contract

As a parent of a Manhasset Soccer Club player, I pledge to:

• Support my child’s efforts to be on time and be prepared for all practices, training sessions and games.

• Calmly watch the play and not shout instructions to my child or other players.

• Not question the calls of the referee or the actions of the coach.

• Provide encouragement to my child and all team players.

• Be respectful of all players on my child’s team and opposing teams, coaches and referees.

• Discuss all issues with MSC privately and at a time away from the game.

• Abide by any other published team, club, or league rule.

• Refrain from unsportsmanlike behavior including verbal or physical abuse of players, coaches, referees and other spectators at practice, before, during and after games.

As a parent of a Manhasset Soccer Club player, I agree to review these guidelines with my child and to abide by the guidelines as listed. I understand and accept that MSC will enforce all sportsmanship rules, and will penalize anyone that violates the Zero Tolerance Policy.
